Fort Dodge, IA —Community Health Center of Fort Dodge is pleased to announce a new partnership with UnityPoint Health – Fort Dodge to expand access to high-quality women’s health services for patients in the region. Robert O’Connor, DO, OB/GYN at UnityPoint Clinic OB/GYN – Fort Dodge, has started seeing patients at Community Health Center two days every month. 

“Too often, uninsured patients delay prenatal care simply because of cost, and we know how critical those early weeks are for both parent and baby. This partnership allows us to remove that barrier and ensure patients can begin prenatal care as early as possible. By working alongside UnityPoint and Dr. O’Connor, we’re creating a safer, more accessible path to healthy pregnancies in our community.” said Ann Feser, Medical Director at Community Health Center of Fort Dodge 

Through this collaboration, Community Health Center will offer expanded obstetrics and gynecological services, including a new care model for obstetrics patients.  

Individuals receiving pregnancy care will see Dr. O’Connor at Community Health Center for most of their prenatal visits before transitioning to UnityPoint Clinic OB/GYN – Fort Dodge for their final appointments and delivery.  

This approach provides patients with convenient access to care close to home while benefiting from Community Health Center’s sliding fee scale and supportive care environment.
