CHC of Spencer to Hold Open House

Spencer, Iowa – The Community Health Center of Spencer is excited to announce the launch of its full range of healthcare services and invites the public to celebrate at an Open House on Friday, June 13th from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at 223 W 7th Street, Spencer, Iowa, 51301.
Community members are encouraged to attend the Open House to tour the new facility, meet the providers, and learn more about the essential medical, dental, and behavioral health services now available in Spencer. There will be a ribbon cutting with the Spencer Chamber of Commerce at 3 pm. Refreshments will be provided, and staff will be on hand to answer questions and assist with scheduling appointments or learning about programs like the sliding fee discount.
The Community Health Center of Spencer, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) under the umbrella of the Community Health Center of Fort Dodge, is committed to providing comprehensive, accessible, and affordable care to all individuals, regardless of their ability to pay.
Services at the Spencer location include:
- Medical care, provided by Julie Beehler, NP, began on March 31, 2025
- Dental care, led by Dr. Richard Martin, began on April 22, 2025
- Behavioral health services, offered by Ashley Anderson, PMHNP, began on May 1, 2025
As an FQHC, the health center operates with a patient-majority governing board, ensuring that community perspectives are central to its mission and decision-making. The center accepts Medicare, Medicaid (including Iowa’s managed care organizations), most private insurance and offers a sliding fee scale for those who qualify, providing affordable options for the uninsured and underinsured.
