Community Health Center of Fort Dodge and Molina Healthcare to host “Donut Forget Your Mammogram” October 23
Fort Dodge, IA – Community Health Center of Fort Dodge, in partnership with Molina Healthcare, will host “Donut Forget Your Mammogram” on Friday, October 23, from 9 AM – 2 PM at 126 N 10th St., Fort Dodge, IA.
Women who schedule a mammogram during the event will receive a free bra from Molina Healthcare. Complimentary donuts will also be provided throughout the day.
The event takes place during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to remind women that regular screenings are one of the best ways to find cancer early, when it is often most treatable. Community Health Center encourages all women to stay current on both their breast and cervical cancer screenings.
“Staying on top of our screenings is one of the most important things we can do for our health as women,” said Kaycee Johnson, Community Engagement & Events Specialist at Community Health Center of Fort Dodge. “Last year, a dear friend of mine was diagnosed with breast cancer. Because she kept up with her mammograms, it was caught early. She is now in remission, and taking that time out of her day made all the difference. If you’re due, notice anything out of the ordinary, or just aren’t sure, give us a call or stop in. We’re happy to help you get scheduled.”
Community Health Center is grateful to Molina Healthcare for its partnership and generosity in helping organize this event, and for a shared commitment to women’s health.
Appointments can be scheduled by calling 515-576-6500.
