Eagle Grove, IA –Community Health Center of Eagle Grove invites the public to participate in the Make It OK Walk on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 12:00 PM. This event is part of the Make It OK campaign through Iowa’s Healthiest State Initiative, a statewide effort focused on reducing stigma by encouraging open conversations and increasing understanding of mental illness.
The walk will begin at Community Health Center of Eagle Grove at 12:00 PM and will follow a loop, concluding at Community Health Center. Community members of all ages are encouraged to attend and show their support for mental health awareness.
May 14 also marks ‘National Wear Green Day’ for mental health awareness. Participants are encouraged to wear green, the official color for mental health, to show solidarity, and help spark meaningful conversations throughout the community.
The Make It OK campaign works to break down barriers surrounding mental health by reminding Iowans that it’s okay to talk about mental health and to seek help. Events like the Make It OK Walk provide an opportunity for individuals, families, and organizations to come together in support of mental well-being.
“This walk is about bringing people together and showing that no one has to face mental health challenges alone,” said Dina Figueroa, Office Manager. “When we come together as a community, we make it easier to start conversations that matter.”
