Clarion, IA —Community Health Center of Clarion is pleased to welcome Helen Retleff, ARNP, to its care team as a primary care provider serving patients at the Clarion location. Retleff brings a wealth of clinical experience and a strong commitment to personalized patient-centered care.
Retleff has years of experience as an emergency room nurse in a busy college-town setting and has worked in a variety of healthcare environments, including UnityPoint, Community Health of Mason City, and Proteus. She earned her nursing degree from Mercy College of Health Sciences, her Bachelor of Nursing from Chamberlain College, and her Nurse Practitioner degree from Purdue Global in 2017. In addition to her clinical work, Retleff is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of providers and continues to serve as a preceptor for nurse practitioner students.
As a primary care provider in Clarion, Retleff looks forward to building meaningful relationships with patients and helping them better understand their health conditions, medications, and treatment plans. She has a special interest in managing chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension and believes strongly that medical care should be tailored to everyone’s lifestyle and needs.
“I enjoy getting to know my patients and working with them to find care plans that truly fit their lives,” said Retleff. “Medical care is not one-size-fits-all, and I love helping people feel informed, supported, and confident in their care.”
Outside of the clinic, Retleff and her husband live on his family farm, where they stay busy caring for animals, bees, and spending time with their seven grandchildren.
Community Health Center of Clarion is excited to welcome Retleff and looks forward to the positive impact she will have on patients and the community.
