Fort Dodge, IA —Community Health Center of Fort Dodge is pleased to announce that Desiree Diemer, tLMHC, has joined its behavioral health team as a mental health therapist. 

Diemer earned her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2024 from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. She is trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, internal family systems, and trauma-informed therapy practices. Her clinical approach is non-judgmental, trauma-focused, and developmentally informed. 

Diemer specializes in working with children and diverse populations, including individuals with autism spectrum disorder and/or ADHD. She is passionate about helping clients overcome barriers and supporting their growth through a holistic, client-centered approach. 

“I’m most excited about supporting clients in their growth by overcoming barriers using a holistic approach,” Diemer said. “My favorite part of working in healthcare is supporting others in their growth and improving their quality of life.” 

Diemer works with patients of all ages, she specializes in children beginning at age two. 

Outside of work, Diemer enjoys spending time with her son, cooking, being outdoors, watching football, and reading.
