Fort Dodge, IA — Community Health Center of Fort Dodge (CHC) is pleased to welcome Alexis Woodley, PMHNP, to its behavioral health team. Woodley is a Fort Dodge native and brings both extensive clinical experience and a strong commitment to serving the community she calls home. 

Woodley graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School and earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Iowa Central Community College. She began her nursing career on the Cardiothoracic Surgical Unit at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, later transitioning to the Intensive Care Unit at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge. During this time, she also served as a clinical instructor for Iowa Central Community College’s nursing program. 

In 2018, Woodley expanded her professional experience through travel nursing, accepting positions in Texas, the Maryland/DC area, and California. In 2020, she joined Stanford Health Care, where she worked on the Cardiopulmonary Unit. She went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University, becoming a board-certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2025. 

Woodley is committed to improving access to compassionate, culturally responsive mental health care. She is proud to return to Fort Dodge to serve her community and help strengthen diversity within local behavioral health services.
