Fort Dodge, IA – Community Health Center of Fort Dodge (CHCFD) is pleased to announce that Jordan Sisson, tLMHC, has joined the organization as a therapist to the Behavioral Health team, providing mental health counseling services to patients in Fort Dodge and Clarion.
Appointments with the CHCFD behavioral health team are now available. To schedule an appointment, call Community Health Center of Fort Dodge at 515-576-6500.
Jordan Sisson is a Temporary Licensed Mental Health Counselor (tLMHC) with a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Buena Vista University, earned in 2025. Jordan has experience working in residential mental health and substance use treatment settings, providing support to individuals navigating a variety of mental health, behavioral health, and life challenges.
Jordan approaches counseling from a trauma-informed, compassionate, and nonjudgmental perspective, recognizing that every individual has a unique history and set of experiences that have shaped who they are today. Rather than allowing past trauma, challenges, or circumstances to define a person’s future, Jordan works collaboratively with clients to identify their strengths, develop healthy coping and problem-solving skills, and create meaningful, achievable goals.
A central part of Jordan’s approach is empowering clients to recognize their own ability to create change. Jordan encourages clients to take ownership of their choices and progress while providing a supportive environment where they can explore challenges without fear of judgment. The goal is to help clients build the confidence, skills, and accountability needed to move forward, not simply for others, but for themselves and the life they want to create.
Jordan believes that a person’s history can help explain where they have been without determining where they are going. Through a supportive therapeutic relationship, clients are encouraged to recognize their strengths, work through barriers, and develop the tools necessary to move toward a healthier and more fulfilling future.
Jordan’s addition to the behavioral health team expands CHCFD’s capacity to serve patients across Fort Dodge and Clarion, reinforcing the health center’s commitment to accessible, compassionate mental health care throughout North Central Iowa.
