OUR MEDICAL PROVIDERS

Dr. Eddie DeHaan, MD
Medical Director, Internal Medicine

Dr. Ed DeHaan, MD comes to the Community Health Center as Medical Director and Physician after 26 years in family medical practice in Webster County.

Dr. DeHaan is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School and is Board Certified in Family Practice. He is a member of the Iowa Medical Society, Iowa Academy of Family Physicians and A.M.A.

Dr. DeHaan practiced adult and pediatric medicine, and obstetrics in Minnesota for nine years and with the Fort Dodge Medical Center and Trimark Family Physicians.

He and his wife Joyce, director of D/SAOC, are active in the Fort Dodge community where they reside with their two sons.

Dr. DeHaan served on the Iowa Board of Medical Examiners from 1993-1997 and just prior to joining the CHC cared for our veterans for three years at the Trimark VA Clinic.


Maureen Patterson, PA-C

Maureen Patterson, formerly of Trimark Family Practice Associates, has joined the Community Health Center of Fort Dodge. Patterson received her undergraduate degree in biology from Buena Vista University. She completed her physician assistant studies at Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center in June 2000. Maureen lives in Fort Dodge with her husband Jerry and their three children.

Kathy Wilkes
Chief Executive Officer

Ms. Wilkes joined the Community Health Center on November 1, 2005 and was charged with the task of opening the new clinic. She is an Iowa Native who has extensive experience in managing federally funded programs within the non-profit arena. She spent the first 10 years of her working career in Fort Dodge at Centel (the former name of Frontier). Kathy began her post secondary education at Iowa Central Community College and years later transferred credits to Wayne State College where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. She joined the Centel Corporate offices in Chicago in 1985 and continued her education at DePaul University where she received her MBA. In 1989, Kathy relocated to the Pacific Northwest to be near her sister and began her career in non-profit management as the Director of Operations and New Business Development for CCI Enterprises, a light manufacturing facility for developmentally challenged adults. After moving to Tillamook on the Oregon Coast, she became the Executive Director of North Coast Senior Services, a contracted operation of the State of Oregon that provided numerous services to the elderly. She then joined Tillamook Bay Community College as the Director of the Small Business Development Center for four years before moving to Jacksonville, FL where she worked for eight years as the Director of Transportation and Development Director prior to returning home to care for aging parents.

Nancy VanDePol
Medical Receptionist/Claims Coordinator

Nancy VanDePol has joined the staff at the Community Health Center of Fort Dodge as Medical Receptionist/Claims Coordinator. Nancy was raised in Manson and graduated from Manson Sr. High School. She has lived in Fort Dodge for 29 years and has two daughter ages 17 and 15. VanDePol has over 10 years of medical office and billing experience.


Shelley Hendrickson - CMA
Administrative Coordinator

Shelley Hendrickson is a graduate of ICCC in the Medical Assistant Program. She joins the Community Health Center of Fort Dodge staff as Medical Assistant. Shelley has worked in cardiology and neurology and most recently at The Gardens of Friendship Haven Assisted Living. She lives in Callender and has two daughters, Brooke and Heidi.
