Clinic Manager:
Community Health Center of Fort Dodge is a Federally Qualified Health Center designed to provide primary medical care to all patients, regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay.

The Clinic Manager will be responsible for the management and oversight of operations of the Community Health Center of Fort Dodge and reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
      1. Oversees daily clinic operations. Identifies, analyzes and resolves work problems.
      2. Supervises medical support and registration; trains, orients and evaluates performance of assigned personnel. Coordinates supervision of nursing staff with the Medical Director.
      3. Responsible for assuring clinic staffing schedules are appropriate to meet the patient needs, clinic productivity expectations and to maximize clinic flow.
      4. Involved in planning, implementing and evaluating services. Develops guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness and modifying activities as necessary.
      5. Analyzes and recommends changes in organizational systems, policies and procedures to ensure patient satisfaction, clinic flow and Continuous Quality Improvement to maximum productivity.
      6. Oversees Medical Records function, ensures that requests for information are handled promptly and effectively and ensures compliance with HIPAA regulations.
      7. Reconciles daily receipts from front desk and forwards to Administrative Services manager for deposit. Ensures proper internal controls/separation of duties.
      8. Serves as primary point of contact for patient satisfaction issues, works to resolve issues and understands when to elevate to the CEO.
      9. Understand and effectively utilizes the Practice Management software; trains employees in patient registration and scheduling components.
      10. Conducts credentialing review of all providers.
      11. Oversees and participates in CHCFD Quality Improvement Programs and acts as staff to the Board of Directors Quality Assurance/Medical Services Committee.
      12. Reviews and approves employee's time sheets and submits to Administrative Services manager.
      13. Provides administrative support to CHCFD providers and staff.
      14. Ensures that the clinic is in compliance with federal and state regulations (HIPAA, HRSA, OSHA, CLIA, Medicare, Medicaid, etc.)
      15. Maintains strict confidentiality of patient information.
      16. Other duties as assigned.

      Qualifications: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.       Education and experience: " BSN or Bachelor Degree in Health Administration preferred. RN required. " Minimum of two years of administrative supervisory experience. At least one year of medical office experience preferred.


      CMA/LPN
      With at least 2 years medical office/outreach experience. This individual will be dealing with the Medication Assistance Program, financial eligibility, and direct patient care. This position will be dealing with patients from all income levels and especially helping those with limited resources. Must be flexible with strong multi-tasking skills, positive personality, and enjoys challenges. Full-time position in a team oriented environment with benefits after probationary period.

      From an accredited medical college or university with a minimum of 3 years direct care experience preferred but not required. Required to hold license to practice medicine in the state of Iowa. Board certified in Family Practice or related area. Experience in primary health, public health, and/or serving underserved populations highly desirable.


      Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner
      Accredited and licensed in the state of Iowa with a minimum of 3 years direct care experience preferred but not required. Experience in primary health, public health, and/or serving underserved populations highly desirable. Will provide primary health care to individuals and families in all aspects and development stages of life.
